Our fire warden course has been designed to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and can include a practical live fire fighting exercise using our fire simulator.

Open course are run at our Rochester training facility, or we can run courses on-site at your location across the UK.

Course Content

Our 1/2 day (4 hour) fire warden course will cover the role of the fire warden and can include practical use of fire extinguishers against a live fire.

The role of the fire warden, to include:

  • Current legislation
  • Aims of fire safety
  • Fire prevention
  • Principles of combustion
  • Actions upon discovering a fire
  • Methods of evacuation
  • dealing with mobility impaired personnel

    Practical fire fighting exercise

    Fire warden practical extinguisher training

  • Means of escape
  • Using fire extinguishers
  • Practical fire fighting – optional

Who should attend this course

  • Anyone with a responsibility for overseeing fire safety
  • designated fire wardens
  • Previous experience and/or qualifications are not a requirement

Certification

Upon successful completion of the fire wardens, learners will receive a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.
